The Arizona Coyotes are one of many NHL teams that have relocated following a number of seasons in another community. The history of the Arizona Coyotes spans not just two communities, but two different hockey leagues as well. The Arizona Coyotes started out as the Winnipeg Jets forming in 1972 as part of the World Hockey Association. The team won a total of three WHA Championships (the Avco World Trophy) in 1975-1976, 1977-1978 and 1978-1979. The team joined the NHL as part of the WHA-NHL merger in 1979 and moved to Phoenix to become the Phoenix Coyotes in 1996 before again changing to the Arizona Coyotes in the 2014-2015 NHL Season. The team has two players inducted in the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame and although it has had financial difficulties off and on throughout its entire life, the team is still alive and kicking. Arizona Coyotes souvenirs are hot collector items including team pucks. If you have one you’ll want to store it in our Arizona Coyotes Single Hockey Puck Display Case.
