When the Colorado Avalanche received goalie Patrick Roy in a trade with Montreal Canadiens partway through the 1995-1996 NHL season they had no idea what he was going to do for their team. He had already spent ten seasons in Montreal. Roy, born in Quebec City, Quebec, changed the way a lot of people viewed the Colorado franchise once he settled in the most comfortable position he knew – between the pipes. Roy’s legacy lives on in many ways. His jersey #33 was retired by both Montreal and Colorado. He was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame and continues to call Colorado home as he is currently the Head Coach and Vice President of Hockey Operations for the Avalanche. In addition, Roy is considered one of the all-time greatest goalies ever to play professional hockey. Sports collectors look at these things when they acquire items to add to their collection. If you have a Patrick Roy mini helmet collectible you’ll want to keep it safe and protected in this Colorado Avalanche Horizontal View Mini Hockey Helmet Display.
