The San Jose Sharks have no retired jersey numbers other than #99 that were retired league-wide to honor Wayne Gretzky. The Sharks Jersey has not seen a lot of change since the team began to play in 1991.
Aside from a slight update of the ‘snapping shark’ logo, and additional logos to celebrate five, ten, fifteen and twenty years in the NHL, the team jersey has been mostly untouched. The team has a total of three Hall of Famers including goalie Ed Belfour (1996), center Igor Larionov (1993-1995) and defenseman Rob Blake (2008-2010).
Jersey collectors use a lot of different stats and reasons for collecting a hockey jersey. Hall of Fame players are one reason, and with the San Jose Sharks, there is a trio of top players to choose from. If you have a autographed jersey, keep it protected in our San Jose Sharks Jersey Display Case.
