Tampa Bay Lightning Single Hockey Puck Case
How To Clean Your Display Case
National Hockey League
The Tampa Bay Lightning has had an interesting hockey history in a relatively short timeframe. The team became a possibility in the late 1980s when the National Hockey League announced they were going to expand once more. Two groups in Florida submitted bids. One was based in the St. Petersburg area and the other was in the Tampa area. The Tampa group was interesting in that it was led by two NHL Hall of Fame players. Brothers Phil and Tony Esposito were hoping to bring the NHL into Tampa with the newest expansion franchise. On paper the St. Petersburg group was a lot more solid. The Espositos gained favor from the league when they secured Japanese investors. And as they say, the rest is history. In fact, the Tampa Bay Lightning made history by allowing the first woman to play in an NHL game. Although goalie Manon Rheaume played two pre-season games in 1992, it was enough to put both the player and team into hockey record books before they played their first regular season game. Hockey pucks are great souvenirs and if you collect them you’ll want to keep yours in our Tampa Bay Lightning Single Hockey Puck Display Case.
